Ronald L. Robeson February 5, 1934 to July 1, 2018

Ron Robeson went to be with the Lord on July 1, 2018. Ron was born on February 5, 1934 in Wessington Springs, South Dakota. As a kid, he liked to help out at his dad’s bowling alley as a pinsetter. In the late 1940’s his family moved to Washington, where he graduated from Kelso High School.

Ron moved to Tracy in 1957. He worked many years for Del Scrafford Painting, Ashcraft & Sons, and 13 years for Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory in the Plant Engineering Paint Shop before retiring in 1990.

He was a member of Grace Church of Tracy since 1974.

He loved watching the San Francisco Giants and the San Francisco 49ers.
Since its opening, Ron has bowled numerous leagues throughout the years at Tracy Bowl, (West Valley Bowl). He served on the Tracy Bowling Association Board for over 30 years holding various offices of Director, Vice President, and Sargent of Arms. He won the California State Senior Singles Championship in 2013.

He loved being retired, bowling, drinking coffee with the guys at Perko’s, and walking the mall with his friends.

Ron is survived by his sister, Betty Wallace of Lake Havasu City, AZ, son, Jimmy Robeson, daughter, Ann Waite and husband Bennett, and grandson, Jason Waite, all of Tracy.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Wilson and Elna Robeson, and brothers, Morris and Chester.

A memorial service will be held at Fry Memorial Chapel, 550 S. Central Ave., Tracy, on Monday, July 16, 2018 at 9:30 a.m. Graveside services will follow at Tracy Public Cemetery, 501 E. Schulte Road. Wear his favorite team’s apparel, SF Giants, orange, black, or SF 49ers, red and gold.
