Tribute

Rosemary June Barrow passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family at the age of 94. She was proceded in death by her husband, Delbert Barrow. June is survived by her brother, Philip Leonard Herbert Hodge of Exmouth England, her four daughters, Theresa (Dan), Mary Lorraine, Deborah June (Kevin), Lisa (Michael). She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, William (Emily), Delbert (Dana), Anne (Donny), Alex (JauJuin), Allanah (John), Aaron (Tracy), Rachel (Chad), Shane (Belinda), Noah (Haylee), Eric (Elisa), Ryan (Hayley), Malin (Lindsey), Daniel, and 22 great grandchildren.
June was born in Exmouth, England on June 25,1926. She would often share stories about growing up in the seaside town during WW2.   She came to the US in 1951 and became a US citizen in 1954. She worked for the Lawrence Livermore Laboratory for over 30 years. She went back to school and got her Bachelor's Degree at 62.  She enjoyed tennis, wind-surfing, square dancing, knitting, traveling and playing the piano. She could play the piano by ear and desired to take piano lessons at the age of 91. One of June's favorite places to spend her time was volunteering  at her church. June was very involved in the St Bernard's Parish, attending daily mass. She loved her parish community and volunteered and participated in many church activities such as, Eucharistic Ministry, Lector, Ministry of Caring, Bible studies, retreats and was a CCD teacher for over 28 years. She attended every S.F. Walk for Life up until she was 80 years old.  She was lovingly known to all her grandchildren and to many others as Nanny. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
