On March 6, 2024, age 49, Sou Ian Saechao of Tracy, CA, peacefully passed away, surrounded by loved ones.
Sou was born on June 11, 1974 in Laos and immigrated to the U.S. as a child. He spent his childhood and most of his adult life in Portland, Oregon, before moving to Tracy, California in recent years. Sou lived a quiet and private life caring for an elderly family member and his parents.
He is survived by his parents, Chiem Ian Saechao and Mouang Choy Saelee; paternal aunts and uncles: Sow Orn Saechao, Chiam Hin Chao m. Mey Torn Chao, Chiem Fow Chao m. Lai Louang Chao; maternal aunts and uncles: Ken Choy m. Chan Yoon Phan, Feuy Choy m. Yao Fou Chao, Lai Choy m. Chan Fong Saeteurn.
Funeral services will be held at Fry Memorial Chapel, 550 South Central Avenue, Tracy, on Saturday, March 16, 2024 beginning at 9:00 a.m. He will be laid to rest at Valpico Memorial Park, 12815 West Valpico Road, Tracy. Chapel services will be live streamed via his tribute page at www.frymemorialchapel.com for family & friends unable to attend.
