Teresa E. Avalos

December 27, 1947 ~ January 25, 2021 (age 73) 73 Years Old

Tribute

Teresa E. Avalos of Manteca, California passed away January 25, 2021… she was just 73. She left us too soon as her heart weakened these last few months. She continued to share her loving kindness to all her family and friends with grace and dignity until her last breath.

Teresa was born December 20, 1947, in French Camp, California to Genevieve (Arzola) and Martin Moreno and was surrounded with the love of her 15 brothers and sisters and thereafter, raised in Tracy, California.

Teresa is survived by her six brothers: Andrew Moreno, Arthur Moreno, Albert Moreno, William Moreno, Leonard Moreno and Peter Moreno; and four children: Valarie Avalos, Manuel Avalos III, Marine Avalos and Sophia Avila. She was laid to rest near her mother at Tracy Public Cemetery - Schulte Memorial Park with the blessings of her brothers.

She is also survived by her cherished grandchildren and her many Christian brothers and sisters. Teresa was a woman of Faith...for her it is the assurance of things hoped for and the belief of things to come.

Teresa was preceded in death by her husband Manuel Avalos Jr. (1978), a US Marine Corps Silver Star recipient; as well as her sisters Julia, Sally, Helen and most recently Martha Garza of Tracy.
Teresa was a resident of Manteca where she raised her four children and worked for Franzia Winery (TWG) for 40 years beginning May 1977 until she retired in December 2017.

Teresa took great pleasure in traveling with her family and Christian brothers and sisters, enjoying the beauty in this world. She enjoyed life to its fullest alongside her devotion to Jehovah. She will always be remembered for her loving, caring and giving heart, for her animated conversations and infectious laugh. She will always be remembered by her children as a Mother of Strength, Generosity and Unconditional Love.

A memorial will be held in her honor by her loving Christian brothers and sisters on February 13, 2021 at 2 PM. Her family and friends are welcome to join in for a beautiful service expressing her faith in God. Due to current restrictions, they will be held remotely via Zoom.

A private service was held by her children to lay her in her final resting place next to her mother. In attendance, to perform a loving prayer was Steve Paige, a longtime Christian brother.
