Thomas A. Lopez

Thomas A. Lopez peacefully passed away on Sunday, October 17, 2021 at the age of 87. He was born in Lagos de Moreno Jalisco, Mexico on March 7, 1934 to Maria Atilano and Jose Lopez. Tom moved to Tracy in 1955 where he met and married the love of his life Isabel Vasquez. They married and started their family in Tracy and later moved to Roberts Island to raise their four children. Tom worked for over 45 years for many Tracy area farmers providing fertilizer services which he enjoyed until his retirement from Western Farm Service in 2008.

Thomas's best times were those spent with his family. Some of his fondest memories include spending time with his late wife Isabel and driving her to her two favorite past times; Shopping and Casinos; Spending his vacation time taking his children, when they were in their younger years, to the San Joaquin County fair to show sheep in their 4-H club, and also Enjoying a great meal with his family, even more so one prepared by his granddaughter who is a Executive Chef in San Francisco. During his later years spending Summers in Aptos sitting beachside, looking out at the ocean, with his favorite drink in his hand (Presidente with Pepsi) while hearing his family's laughter in the background. He was a loving Dad who always put his family first and a doting Grandpa to his three Grandchildren.

Thomas is survived by his four children; Tom Lopez and his wife Dora of Stockton, CA, Carlos Lopez of Stockton, CA, Grace Imbrunetti (Lopez) and her husband Gino of Modesto, CA, and Mary Lou Lopez of San Francisco, CA. Grandchildren; Marialisa (Mel) Lopez of San Francisco, CA, Julianna (Julie) Lopez of Bozeman, MT, and Gabriel Imbrunetti of Modesto, CA.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Maria and Jose Lopez and his wife Isabel Lopez.

Fry Memorial Chapel, 550 South Central Avenue is in care of funeral arrangements. A Rosary will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, October 28th at 5:30pm with visitation from 12 noon to 9:00pm. A Mass of Christian burial will follow on Friday, October 29th, 11:00am at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church, 163 West Eaton Avenue.
