VINCENT (VINCE) MUELA
January 22, 1923 – June 11, 2017
Vincent Muela of Tracy, Ca and recently Stockton, Ca. passed away on June 11, 2017 at the age of 94 in Stockton, Ca. He was born on Jan. 22, 1923 in El Monte, Ca. Vince lived in Tracy for over 47 years prior to moving to Stockton.
He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII. He was a husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, great-great-grandfather, son, brother and uncle. Vince was a man of God, a man of faith. He served his church as Sunday School Superintendent and ministered at DVI for over 30 years. He also made several missionary trips to Mexico. Vince’s passion was music; playing the saxophone as well as singing. He was known for his friendliness, hospitality and generosity. He always said that at the Muela home and dinner table, “there is always room for one more”.
Vince is survived by his children Linda Hernandez of Tracy, Marvin Muela of Stockton and Melvin Muela of Stockton, seven grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and one great-great grandson; siblings David Muela, Phyllis Stanton, Eli Muela, Esther Mackey and Phillip Muela.
He is preceded in death by: Beatrice, wife of 62 years, daughter Lillian, brothers, Louie Muela and Sam Muela and sisters Evelyn Sass and Naomi McDonald.
Services will be held on Wednesday, June 21, 2017 at 11 a.m. at Fry Memorial Chapel, 550 S. Central Ave. Tracy, Ca. Gravesite services immediately following at Tracy Public Cemetery.
