Virginia del Rio

Virginia del Rio, 86, passed away peacefully Saturday, January 23, 2021 from natural causes, at home surrounded by her loving and devoted family. She was born September 6, 1934 in Tracy to Bernabe and Virginia Torres.
A lifelong Tracy resident, Virginia graduated from Tracy High School in 1952.
Virginia loved to travel, every year her and her husband Rafael took vacations and traveled to Mexico and various parts of the United States.
She also enjoyed mariachi music, gardening, cooking & baking, and her beloved dogs, especially Chiquita.
Virginia was a very outgoing and happy person that cherished her family and friends. She touched the hearts of every person that she met, and is going to be missed dearly by them all.
Mrs. del Rio is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Rafael del Rio of Tracy; daughters
Barbara Rodriquez of Stockton, Rosalba Garcia of Corona, and son Alfonso del Rio of Tracy; Sister Natalia; 6 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings Thomasa, Elena, Rosa, Jose, and Manuel.
Fry Memorial Chapel, is honored to serve the del Rio family. A Vigil will be held at Fry’s 550 South Central Avenue, Tracy, CA on Wednesday, February 3, 2021 at 7:00pm with visitation open from 4:00pm – 9:00 pm. A Mass of Christian burial will follow at 11:00 am on Thursday, February 4, 2021 at St. Bernard’s Holy Family Center, 12100 West Valpico Road. She will be laid to rest at the Tracy Public Cemetery.
