Dennis Earl Leonesio

Dennis Earl Leonesio was born on September 12, 1940 in Eureka, CA and passed away on April 1, 2017 in Sacramento, CA with his wife by his side. He is preceded in death by his parents Phyllis and Alvin Quinley and Stepfather Paul Leonesio.
Mr. Leonesio is survived by Carole, his loving wife of 56 years and his much loved children, Michael (Mia), Athens TN., Ann (Keith), Evans, GA., Theresa Morris, Palm Beach Gardens, FL., Kathleen (Sean), Tracy, CA., Stephen (Alicia), Oceanside, CA., and Kenneth (Carrie), Turlock, CA. Dennis has also been blessed with twelve amazing grandchildren whom he loved very much.
Dennis went to work for the Newark Fire Department in 1965, where he completed 26 years of service and worked his way through the ranks retiring in 1991 as Fire Chief/Assistant City Manager.
A Rosary will be held on Monday, April 17, 2017 at 10:00 am at Fry Memorial Chapel, 550 South Central Avenue, Tracy. Mass will follow at 11:00 am at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church, 163 West Eaton Avenue, Tracy. He will be laid to rest privately.
