Sandra Lynn Roe

Sandra “Sandy” Lynn Roe passed away at her home in Lodi, CA on Sunday December 17, 2017 at the age of 61. She was born December 7, 1956 at Edwards Air Force Base in Kern County, California and was the only child born to the marriage of the late Jerri Ritch and Charles Winkler. She grew up in Oxnard and Pasadena, eventually moving to San Diego and attending Patrick Henry High School graduating class of 1975. Shortly after graduation, she married her high school sweetheart, Lynn Weston, August 21, 1975 in San Diego, CA. Their daughter Dawn was born in 1978 and was the only child born to their 15 year marriage. On June 22, 2008 she married David Roe in Reno, NV.

Sandy was always a hard worker and an eager learner. She worked for the State of California for a total of twenty-one years and then went on to work at Varian Medical Systems in Palo Alto for fifteen years as a Patent Paralegal. She was a bay area resident for 28 years, then in 2010 Sandy and Dave followed her daughter and family to Tracy, eventually settling into Lodi several years later. Sandy was passionate about her love of horses and dogs, and she enjoyed living the quiet country life with her beloved animals. She was known for her quirky humor, empathy and kindness, as well as her silly nature. She was a free spirit that loved to travel and enjoy nature. In her spare time she enjoyed collecting slabs and creating cabs and gemstones. Sandy was definitely one of a kind and she will be sorely missed.

Sandy is preceded in death by her mother, Jerri Morales.
She is survived by her husband of 9 years, David Roe; her daughter Dawn Harris and husband Garren of Tracy, CA; Grandchildren, Nicholas, Garren II, Adriana, Devin and Roman; her father, Charles Winkler and wife Dana, of Bingen, Washington; her two brothers, Derek Anthony, John Morales and wife Gretchel; her six sisters, Aileen Megna, Yvonne Weller, Kim Winkler, Diane Winkler Murphy and husband Larry, Charlee Winkler VanderBerg and Amanda Washington and husband Mel; Stepsisters Desiree and Kerri; as well as numerous aunts and uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

The funeral service will be on Friday, December 29, 2017, at 1:00 p.m. at Fry Memorial Chapel, 550 S. Central Avenue, Tracy, California.
