Tauna Irene Peterson, 51, of Tracy, passed away on August 11, 2017 in Modesto, Ca after a courageous battle with cancer.
The viewing will be on Saturday, August 19, 2017 from 9:30-11:00AM at The LDS Church, 1981 N. Chester Drive, Tracy, CA, 95376.
Funeral services will be held at 11:30AM, Saturday, August 19, 2017 at The LDS Church, 1981 N. Chester Drive, Tracy, CA, 95376.
Graveside Service will be held at 10:00AM on Monday, August 21, 2017 at Tracy Mausoleum, 8842 West Schulte Road, Tracy, CA 95376.
Tauna was born on April 29, 1966. She graduated from American High School in Fremont, CA in 1984 where she sang with the Town Criers. She married David Peterson on July 20, 2002 in Tracy, CA. She attended BYU, Idaho. Tauna was a talented cake decorator/bakery manager for Save Mart. She also owned a successful Premiere Princess Parties business. In her words, “Presentation is everything.” She was involved in the Case for Kids non-profit and her LDS church with most of her callings in scouting. Tauna was the first girl scout west of the Mississippi to receive the highest award appropriately named the Gold Award in 1982. This is equivalent to becoming an Eagle Scout.
Tauna is preceded in death by her son, Timothy Koster, and her sister, Marjolijn Morris.
Tauna is survived by her husband, David Peterson, sons Corey Koster of Morgan Hill and Daniel Koster of Tracy, her Mom and Dad, Astrid and Duane Workinger of Tracy, her father, Wallace Morris of Alameda, her in-laws, Rich and Terri Peterson of Tracy, as well as many other family members and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made to Case for Kids, 1852 W. 11th Street #134, Tracy, CA 95376.
