On December 26, 2017 the angels came and carried our mother Mary Mancuso home. Born Mary Ellen Smith on April 16, 1927 in McKinney, Texas, she was the middle of three children born to RC and Veda Mount Smith.
During her early years she lived in Texas, moving to California in 1941 and settling in Tracy with her family. She remained in Tracy for the remaining 76 years of her life. Mary graduated from Tracy High in 1944. She worked for HJ Heinz Company in the mid 1940’s and went on to work as a bank teller for Wells Fargo Bank and later for Mid Cal Bank/Bank of Stockton. She enjoyed working as a sales representative for Home Interior & Gifts for many years up until retirement and made lifelong friends with the women she worked with.
Mary was an avid bowler in her younger years, bowling in several leagues. She met Tom Mancuso while bowling in Tracy and they were married in 1949. They raised their family of four children in Tracy and were married for 47 years until his passing in 1996.
Mary is survived by four children, Tommy Mancuso of Tracy, Debbie (John) Dituri of Tracy, Susan Foster of Lodi and Kim (Mark) Trinta of Modesto. She also leaves behind 6 grandchildren, Jennifer Dituri, Angelo Dituri, Jared Dumlao, Wendy Dumlao-Bain, Sandy Dumlao and Dana Seefeldt. In addition she leaves 8 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren. Also surviving Mary is her brother Perry (Sharon) Smith of Stockton and many nieces and nephews.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband Tom Mancuso, her parents RC and Veda Smith, her brother Marvin Smith and numerous brothers and sisters in law.
Service will be held Saturday January 6th at 9:00 a.m. at the First Baptist Church, located at 1935 Holly Drive, Tracy, CA. There will not be visitation prior to services.
